I'm so happy not to to have that awful black mould in my bedroom any more. Condensation in the en-suite just wouldn't go away and never seemed to dry up so we got Steve in to have a look. The solution was to fit an extractor which automatically switched on when we went in the room and then ran for 20 minuted after we left the room. No more condensation!
We panicked after a neighbour told us we had "rising damp" in the kitchen. A (free) survey revealed that the membrane(?) barrier had degraded and was letting water siphon up the walls. We feared the worst but the solution was simply removing a few bricks and installing a new membrane in the offending area. Now the wall is entirely dry! Brilliant service which cost us a lot less than we had feared!
